PO Edin Research and Travel Grants 2026

Världsinfektionsfonden announces research and travel grants for young researchers of up to
25,000 SEK for research on global infectious diseases. Indirect costs are not allowed

The research/travel may include studies in the medical sciences such as the development of
new diagnostics, therapeutics, vaccine candidates, markers for vaccine-induced immune
responses, health systems research, preclinical and clinical studies. It may also include
studies in the natural sciences such as entomology, microbiology, parasitology and virology.

The work is expected to take place during 2027. The applicant is supposed to be registered
at a Swedish university, at least at the master’s or Ph.D. level.

Deadline 30 September 2026.

The application should include the research/travel plan and budget, and must be formatted
as follows:
– No longer than two (2) pages
– 12-point font
– Single line spacing
– Arial or Times New Roman font
Also submit a CV in the application letter.

Decisions will be made in October/November 2026. Successful applicants will receive
funding in December 2026 and are expected to provide Vif with a travel report (on-line
survey) that may be used for communication purposes at www.vif.se.
